Get ready for an event sure to wag tails and warm hearts, the eighth annual ByWard Barket/Marchien is just around the corner, and it’s set to be the most spectacular celebration yet!
The paw-ty is on Sunday, October 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at outdoor venues and participating businesses in the ByWard Market. Barket promises an exciting lineup of activities that caters to dog lovers of all ages!
What to expect:
- Dog-friendly patios and shops, with many discounts and special offers
- Neighbourhood-wide scavenger hunt with prizes
- Local vendors ready to spoil your furry friends with treats, toys and other delightful surprises
- A free photo booth
- Live canine art
- A dog fashion-show contest with prizes
Ottawa Fire Services is participating this year with their K9 unit and a fire truck from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (location TBD). Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about the skills and training that go into preparing working dogs for their very important job!
