New restaurant on the block: Little Amsterdam Eat + Drink

By Dave Chapin

Spring has sprung and new businesses are popping up all along Dalhousie Street. One such business is the Little Amsterdam Eat + Drink restaurant. It is located in the former Das Lokal restaurant at 190 Dalhousie Street, kitty corner to the longtime Chinese restaurant Hing Lung.

Barb Boole, the owner described the overall feel and offerings of the new restaurant. Drawing from the culinary traditions and culture of Europe, Barb says the menu will include small plates with high-quality ingredients, sourced locally. It will feature many items made in-house accompanied by carefully selected spirits that will round out the bar.

Barb’s goal is to create a neighbourhood gathering spot that will be cozy and intimate. A large communal harvest table will be prominently featured. If that’s not your thing, or for smaller gatherings, there will also be table seating and cozy booths. An outdoor patio welcomes you in the afternoon and evening.
If you would like to belly up to the bar, there is seating there too. Sunday will feature an all-day brunch.
The restaurant will also be home to a beautiful vintage piano and will feature live local music in the evening.

Barb welcomes you to Little Amsterdam Eat + Drink!
